FOOD BANK
What is the CBUSU Food Bank?
A food bank is a non-profit organization that acquires & distributes food to individual CBU students and their families who are struggling with food insecurity. Our foodbank receives support through donations and food drives. We support those students who are in need.
What are the Rules of the Food Bank?
You must be a current CBU Student
Your Student I.D. is to be presented when filing out the food bank form and at pick-up.
Applications are accepted only on days on which the food bank is open. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
You may only visit the food bank once every 14 days (bi-weekly), exempt from emergencies.
The food bank is not a free grocery store and any persons who use it for that reason will be reprimanded.
The food bank is not responsible for any allergies which you may occur due to the food provided. It is solely the responsibility of the student to be aware of any such diet restrictions they may have.
Information about your situation may be asked such as income, housing, and members of your household.
For those students requiring additional and or specific assistance, please email su_vpfo@cbu.ca. The CBU Students' Union cannot guarantee additional assistance, but each will be reviewed on a case-by-case scenario. We assume no responsibility for dietary restrictions or allergies.
