President & Executive Vice President
SLATE 1:
Harsimran Kaur Antaal (Presidential)
Rebecca Seymour (Vice Presidential)
Our names are Harsimran Kaur Antaal and Rebecca Seymour, and we are running for President & CEO and Executive Vice-President of the CBU Students Union. Harsimran is in the fourth year of her Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry, and Rebecca is in the third year of her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science. We both have had extensive experience working with the CBU Students’ Union, with Harsimran working previously as an Administrative Assistant and now as the current President & CEO. Rebecca is currently serving her second term as an executive, with her previously working as the Chairperson of the Student Representative Council and now as the current Vice-President Student Services. Considering our diverse background, we are passionate about creating a campus community that supports both international and domestic students and addresses the unique challenges faced by both. Within our platform, we want to do work that makes students active participants in the Students’ Union. We want to address transportation, health and wellness, academic, inclusion and accessibility needs to ensure these areas answer the needs of our student body. Being current executives means we hear you and understand what it is you need most from your Students’ Union team, and we want to be able to continue and build upon the work we have done so far to ensure it is best representing students. We are 100% student focused, and want to work with you and for you in the upcoming year.
SLATE 2:
Pragyan Lathwal (Presidential)
Olatunbosun Ayodeji (Vice Presidential)
We, Pragyan Lathwal and Ayodeji Olatunbosun, are excited to announce our candidacy for President & CEO and Executive Vice-President of the CBU Students' Union. As third-year students—Pragyan in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Ayodeji in Bachelor of Arts—we bring a strong combination of leadership, advocacy, and student engagement experience. Having worked closely with student organizations and support services, we understand the challenges students face and are committed to making real, meaningful changes. If elected, we will prioritize bridging the gap between students and the resources available to them, ensuring that both domestic and international students feel represented and supported. Our focus will be on transportation, parking, accommodations, accessibility, and inclusion—key issues that affect student life daily. We believe the Students' Union should be a welcoming space where all students feel comfortable raising their concerns and accessing support without barriers. We are committed to revitalizing student engagement, strengthening advocacy efforts, and implementing practical solutions that directly benefit students. Our leadership will focus on transparency, accountability, and ensuring that every student has a voice in the decisions that impact them. By building on the work of past leaders while introducing fresh perspectives, we aim to create a stronger, more connected, and student-focused union that listens, acts, and delivers results. Your voice matters, and your vote can make a difference. Vote Pragyan Lathwal & Ayodeji Olatunbosun for a more inclusive and action-driven Students’ Union!
