Women’s Centre

What is the Women’s Centre?

The Women’s Centre, located in the Students’ Union Building, is a safe haven for all self-identified women and non-binary on-campus. The Centre is operated by a student coordinator and volunteers who are trained in crisis intervention and women’s issues. The Centre is strictly a referral service and resource centre which is completely confidential.

What does the Women’s Centre do?

  • Provides a safe and accessible space, which is welcoming, non-judgemental, and open to all self-identified women and people with reproductive concerns.

  • Is an environment where activities, programs, and services are developed by and for women.

  • Is a place that offers feminist resources, services, and programs 

  • Provides peer consulting and referrals

  • Initiates and carries out social change work, the focus of which is to increase the status of all women.

  • Serves women of all ages and backgrounds

CBU Library Resources

The CBU Library has a wide and varied collection of books, e-books, journals, and magazines - both academic and popular - focusing on women's interests, issues, and concerns.  Within the physical and virtual walls of the library, you'll find resources and information meant to educate, support, challenge, and entertain.
