Workshop: Consent and communication
This month the CBUSU Women's Centre and Pride and Ally Centre are bringing you a workshop presented by Venus Envy! On November 20th join us as we talk all about consent and communication.
Consider this sex positivity 101! Confidence, Consent and Communication focuses on creating a positive relationship with sex. Learn how to move beyond judgment and stigma to embrace what works for you, and to be more comfortable voicing what doesn’t. We will also discuss how to handle different wants and needs, and how to hear a ‘No’ with compassion. Sex positivity affects our self-image, our ability to communicate and establish boundaries, and gives us permission to approach new experiences with a resounding ‘Yes!’. Open to everyone!
The workshop is FREE and will be taking place on October 20th from 7-9pm via Zoom, and is open to everyone!

Career Day: Public Health Society
This Friday, The Public Health Society will be hosting their first Career Day event of the year. They will be holding a Question and Answer session with two of their instructors Michelle Prendergast and Mark Jackson. We will be discussing their careers as Public Health Inspectors/Environmental Health Officers.
The event will start promptly at 11:40 AM (ATL) so we ask that students sign on at 11:30 so we can start right away. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about one type of career they can do after graduation.
Please email cbupublichealth@gmail.com with your CBU email to access the Microsoft Teams link.
